SID PC64 plugin for Winamp

What is it?

How to make it work?

1. Connect PC with C64 through PC64 cable (be sure to switch off computers before doing this)
   
2. Copy in_pc64.dll file to ...\Winamp\Plugins
   
3. Run a small program on C64
   
4. If you use Win 2k or Win XP you'll have to launch a service, which enables direct connection to LPT port. You can find it in Star Commander pack version 0.82 and above. (http://sta.c64.org/sc.html).
   

Remarks

• Multispeed songs are supported
  
• Tunes which use samples are not supported
  
• Change playing sub-tune number moving Winamp's position bar (if disabled there is only one sub-song)
  
• Default playing time is set to 2:30, if you want to listen more, switch 'Repeat' button on
  
• The whole song must be transfered to C64 before playing - it can take few seconds (rasters on borders).
  
• Plugin and commy can hang from time to time - not all tunes have been tested. There is many bugs in songs from HVSC, which make no effect on 6510 emulator, but crash on real hardware. Take a look at this work of some 'proffesional ripper' (initial routine from Praiser's Manual_Vision.sid):

• Player on C64 is $6a bytes long (including IRQ and simple transfer routines) so don't say it's lame ;-)
  
• Plugin was tested using Winamp 2.77.
